Man Propositions 16-Year-Old Boy, Boy Assaults
Him and Steals His Car
California: 22-year-old Terry Richardson has been arrested for
investigation of prostitution after he handed a 16-year-old a note
inviting him to participate in sexual activity.
The teen took grave offence at the proposition and allegedly
assaulted Richardson and stole his Honda CRV. Richardson reported
the carjacking to police who apprehended the 16-year-old several
minutes later and took him to juvenile hall.
According to police the assault and theft were motivated by
revenge. According to San Bernardino County sheriff's spokesperson
Karen Hunt his attitude was "I'm going to show him and I'm going to
take his car."
13 Emoloyees to be Fired from UCLA Hospital for
Snooping Information on Britney Spears
The Los Angeles Times has reported that the UCLA Medical Centre
is gearing up to fire at least 13 people, and formally discipline
six doctors, after it was found they tried to snoop into Britney
Spears's medical records.
Spears was treated in the psychiatric ward at the hospital after
a breakdown, an incident which caused her to legally lose control of
all aspects of her life, which is now in the hands of her father and
a lawyer under a conservatorship (SN reported).
Hospital spokesperson Jeri Simpson said: "I feel like we do
everything that we possibly can to ensure the privacy of our
patients, and I know we feel horrible that it happened again."
Information was also snooped after Spears gave birth in 2005.

Drinking Makes Me Angry... and Naked
Nicholas Hadzick of Freeland, Pennsylvania caused thousands of dollars in
damage in a 24-hour grocery store in the West Lampeter Township at approximately
11:30 on Friday the 14th of March.
He was charged with public intoxication, risking a catastrophe, and open
lewdness - the last charge because he was completely nude during his rampage
through the store. He broke scales, coolers, and deli equipment as well as
overturning a pizza oven.
Workers and customers were able to subdue Hadzick while waiting for the
police to arrive. He is now clothed in jailhouse orange and will remain so until
trial unless he can post a $200,000 bail.
Wall Street Heading towards 1930’s Depression Say Traders
Wall Street traders say they are aghast at what is happening on the trading
floors of New York and some are even predicting a 1930’s style great depression
as more than $300bn was lost from share values on Friday.
One trader told reporters “Everyone is in a total state of shock, aghast at
what is happening. No one wants to talk, let alone deal; we're just standing by
waiting. Everyone is nervous about what is going to emerge when trading starts
tomorrow."
European share values, which have gone relatively unscathed until now, are
expected to fall when trading starts today as a backlash from the disastrous
results from Wall Street last week
Interstate Message Board: "Live Nudes, Exit 45.
State-owned message boards are used to convey information for drivers
concerning traffic and road conditions. However, on one interstate highway in
Pennsylvania, a message board was advertising something other than road
closures.
Rick Yeakley was driving on I-78 in Pennsylvania one morning when he came
across an electronic message board. The message read "Live Nudes, Exit 45".
After calling one of his friends about the sign, his friend suggested taking a
picture which he did.
Ronald J. Young, a spokesman for PennDOT, said they were contacted by state
police concerning the sign, and the sign was fixed. Young also said the sign was
tampered with, but wasn't sure for how long the "Live Nudes" sign had been on. |

As Much as $1 Million Possibly Stolen from
RepublicansFormer National Republican
Congressional Committee treasurer Christopher Ward diverted
hundreds of thousands, and possibly up to a million, dollars
from the GOP to his own personal bank accounts over the last
four years.
Ward, under investigation by the FBI since House Republicans
discovered discrepancies in his accounting, was said to have
"deceived and betrayed" the Republican committee "for a number
of years" by committee chairman Tom Cole.
Ward faces up to $1 million in fines and up to 30 years in
prison for some of his actions as the NRCC treasurer. He
continues to be investigated by forensic auditors; the
investigation could continue for up to two more months.

One of the people who saw him said: "He didn't care who saw him. He looked
painfully thin and gaunt. It was so sad to see." The actor, 55, is receiving
chemotherapy at Stanford University. His doctor has said he is "responding well"
to the therapy. |

Educational Holocaust Game Not Banned (Yet)
Contrary to some reports, Luc Bernard's upcoming Nintendo DS title
Imagination Is The Only Escape, an educational game set during the
Holocaust, has not been blocked or prevented from release. The title
puts players in the role of a French boy who escapes real-life
horror through an internalized fantasy world. It contains no
on-screen violence and presents historic facts about the Holocaust
alongside gameplay. Confusion and miscommunication regarding the
title and its controversial subject matter caused some to believe
the game had been blocked from release, as Nintendo told the The New
York Times that, "there are no plans for this game to be released
for any Nintendo platforms in North America." However, UK publisher
Alten8 quickly clarified the situation, noting that development is
at such an early stage that Nintendo has yet to be made aware of the
game's existence. "No one has blocked it, and it has no definitive
time scale for release," the company told Eurogamer. I don't think
the game will be banned," creator Bernard wrote to Kotaku. "[The
game] isn't just about the war, it's to try and teach children
something so they don't end up racist." Bernard noted that all
profits from the game will benefit the refugees and victims of
genocide in Darfur. The 21-year-old developer expects to finish up
his current title, Eternity's Child (Wii), within the month.
