Dept. of Children & Families Spokesman Caught Hiring Teens to Make Child Porn
Florida: 40-year-old Hillsborough resident Al Zimmerman was arrested Friday
on charges of using a child in a sexual performance after he was accused of
creating child pornography with the help of two teens he hired. The ages were
from 16 to 17.
Zimmerman has been a spokesman for the Department of Children and Families
since early 2005. The affidavit says that he asked them to masturbate and pose
nude. The crimes took place over a period starting in late 2005 and lasting
almost two years.
On Friday, Zimmerman was fired. He also admitted to what he's being accused,
and could receive a maximum sentence of 120 years. His employer said that
although he had possible exposure to minors, he had no background except for a
check fraud charge.
Cops Bust Into Sex Offender's Home; Girl, 14, in Bed Wearing Dog Collar, Leash
Wisconsin: 37-year-old registered sex offender Scott E.
Ziegler is in jail in Waukesha County after authorities found a 14-year-old girl
locked in a bedroom under the bed sheets and wearing a leash and dog collar
while issuing a search warrant.
The same girl was found accompanying Ziegler two weeks ago in a car after she
was reported missing by her mother. No charges have been filed yet. The man is
suspected of exchanging sex for drugs with runaway girls since last November.
Police say a downtown retail store that Ziegler either owned or worked at
until it closed last November attracted a young crowd. Because of his sex
offender status, police kept an eye on him. Ziegler was pursued when the girl
went missing again.
Girl, 13, Driven Home by Teacher-Lover; Wrecks Car While Chased by The Mom
North Carolina: The sheriff's office in Caroline County say that eighth-grade
teacher Lee Holmes, 25, has been charged with child sex abuse after being
suspected of having sex with a female student who is 13 years old.
The man, who works for Locker man Middle School in Denton, was seen dropping
off the girl at home by her mother. She pursued him at high speed in her car
until he crashed in a neighboring county.
A Baltimore hospital treated injuries Holmes sustained in the crash.
Authorities arrested him at his mother's house on Wednesday.

Mentally Ill Women Used To Bomb Market
Iraqi police suspect that the two women were totally unaware they were being
used as suicide bombers. At a pet market In Bagdad one woman shouted she had
birds for sale, attracting a crowd to gather when a device blasted from a mobile
phone.
20 minutes later, in the southeast of the city, a second explosion occurred,
this now being the 7th similar incident involving women in the past 3 months.
Last night, investigators disclosed that the phones weighed up to 33lbs and were
loaded with metal slugs.
Armed forces believe that sergeants are running out of young men to die for
their cause and are now using the mentally and physically ill. There have been
97 fatalities in these latest attacks.
Indicted long term Obama supporter also gave Clinton co-chairman $7500
Chicago city records show that Tony Rezko, currently under indictment and
awaiting trial and Obama supporter for 15 years, also donated at least $7500 to
Antonio Villaraigosa, Chicago mayor and co-chairman of the Hillary Rodham
Clinton campaign.
Mrs. Clinton criticized Obama during the South Carolina for representing
Rezko and his "slum landlord business". Obama has not been accused of any crimes
relating to his business dealings with Rezko.
Villaraigosa spokesman Sean Clegg said that the donations in question are
"under review". He also stated that Villaraigosa does not know Rezko.
Cable Company Bills Homeowner For Tornado's Destruction
After having her Wheatland, Wisconsin home destroyed by a tornado, Ann Beam
was surprised to receive a bill for $2,000 from her cable company. Time Warner
Cable sent her a bill for the five cable boxes and remotes that were destroyed
by the tornado.
After contacting the cable company, Beam was informed by a manager that there
was nothing that the company could do. The manager suggested that she turn the
bill over to her insurance company.
Celeste Flynn, spokeswoman for Time Warner Cable, has said that the matter is
just a misunderstanding. Flynn claims that if Beam had mentioned the tornado,
then the equipment would have been removed from her account. |

Spears' father becomes her temporary conservator
A Superior Court commissioner placed Britney Spears and her estate under
temporary conservatorship today, a day after the pop star was taken to a
psychiatric hospital.
Spears' loss of control over her own affairs came less than a decade after
she shot to stardom as a teenager with the hit "... Baby One More Time," and
followed a year of bizarre behavior captured by paparazzi lenses. Her
father, James Spears, was named conservator of Spears herself. His eyes
teared when the decision was made. He and an attorney, Andrew Wallet, were
name conservators of the estate. The singer's mother Lynne Spears, was also
in court. The parents sat with attorney Blair Berk throughout the hearing
and they smiled and embraced her after the announcement. A court creates
conservatorships when a person cannot care for themselves or handle their
affairs.
The court also issued a restraining order against Britney Spears' sometimes
manager and friend, Sam Lutfi, and gave permission to change the locks on
her estate and remove anyone who is there.

Microsoft Makes $44.6 Billion Bid for Yahoo
Shares in internet search engine Yahoo have jumped 56 percent to $29.95 after
Microsoft announced an offer to buy the company for $44.6 billion in cash and
stocks. The offer equates to $31 per share.
Yahoo has declined to comment but Microsoft has indicated that it believes
their are four areas in which the combined entity can generate annual revenue of
in excess of $1 billion.
"We have great respect for Yahoo, and together we can offer an increasingly
exciting set of solutions for consumers, publishers and advertisers while
becoming better positioned to compete in the online services market," said
Microsoft's CEO. |
