Woman Steals for Imaginary Boyfriend

A woman in Japan is said to have stolen 120 million yen for an internet boyfriend she had never met. The couple were finally introduced in person this October through a lawsuit which made the woman realize the photograph e-mailed to her in 2001 by her supposed boyfriend was not him. The couple maintained a relationship via the web and telephone for years when asked why she stole the money she replied "I thought he would dislike me if I refused to lend him the money

Jesus Found on the Cross Inside a Potato

The 10-year-old granddaughter of Pastor Renee Brewster insisted she take a second look at a potato cut in half for preparation for potato salad at their church, saying she thought it looked like Jesus Christ on the cross. Brewster was amazed. “It’s remarkable. Even when I cut the good part off the cross ended up being shaped like a tomb from long ago,” she said. Her husband Winston, a bishop, froze one half and used the other in the salad. He said "It was the best you ever made." Trying to avoid making the dish, Renee said, “I was hesitant about making the potato salad because Sister Frankie makes the potato salad at church and I said lord if it’s not for me to make potato salad then send me a sign.”

Flight Instructor Awarded $5 Million Moussaoui Bounty

Clarence "Clancy" Prevost, an instructor for Pan Am Academy, was awarded the 2007 Presidential Citation Award, and a $5 million dollar reward for providing information leading to Moussaoui's arrest.  Provost became wary after his tuition with $100 bills, and further still when he found Moussaoui had no pilots license and less than 60 hours of flight time. Prevost testified he usually had students with more than 600 hours of flight time.
